EÌvaluation de la mise en Å“uvre d’une seÌance d’information aÌ€ l’intention des survivantes dans le cadre d’un Programme de bien-eÌ‚tre au-delaÌ€ du cancer : portrait des participantes
Abstract
Les survivantes du cancer du sein et de l’endomeÌ€tre orienteÌes vers le Programme de bien-eÌ‚tre au-delaÌ€ du cancer ont eÌteÌ inviteÌes aÌ€ participer aÌ€ une seÌance d’information, mais elles n’ont pas toutes donneÌ suite aÌ€ cette invitation. La preÌsente eÌtude cherche donc aÌ€ deÌterminer les caracteÌristiques sociodeÌmographiques et meÌdicales, ainsi que les besoins des survivantes, qui permettraient de preÌdire leur participation aÌ€ ce type d’atelier. Pour ce faire, un examen du dossier des survivantes ayant rempli une enqueÌ‚te d’eÌvaluation des besoins entre 2012 et 2014 (n = 144, cancer de l’endomeÌ€tre; n = 170, cancer du sein) a eÌteÌ reÌaliseÌ. Les caracteÌristiques des participantes ont eÌteÌ compareÌes aÌ€ celles des femmes qui n’eÌtaient pas preÌsentes aÌ€ l’aide de tests t, d’analyses du khi-carreÌ et d’une analyse de reÌgres- sion. Les analyses univarieÌes ont montreÌ une correÌlation entre la participation aÌ€ la seÌance d’information et l’aÌ‚ge, la proximiteÌ de l’hoÌ‚pital, les besoins eÌmotionnels et physiques, et les traitements de chimiotheÌrapie ou de radiotheÌrapie qui avaient eÌteÌ reçus. La proxi- miteÌ de l’hoÌ‚pital et les besoins physiques sont quant aÌ€ eux ressortis comme des facteurs preÌdictifs multivarieÌs. Les reÌsultats de l’eÌtude nous permettront d’eÌtoffer le contenu de la seÌance d’information, d’accroiÌ‚tre le taux de participation et de cerner les caracteÌristiques des participantes.Â
