Formation infirmière en oncologie associée à un baccalauréat : Programme de sciences infirmières en oncologie pédiatrique et adulte de l’Université McMaster

Abstract


Pour les infirmières nouvellement diplômées ayant reçu une formation de généraliste, le passage d’étudiante à diplômée et de nouvelle infirmière généraliste à infirmière spécialisée expérimentée peut être cause de grande anxiété. Cet exposé traitera d’un programme particulier, le programme de sciences infirmières en oncologie de l’Université McMaster, conçu pour les infirmières oeuvrant dans le continuum des soins en oncologie. Proposé par les infirmières en oncologie à la recherche d’études spécialisées associées à un baccalauréat, ce programme d’une année existe maintenant depuis dix ans. Les réalisations des presque deux cents diplômées du programme confirment que la formation spécialisée exerce une influence sur les soins directs aux patients, sur l’adhésion à l’équipe de soins de santé ainsi que sur le développement professionnel et personnel.
