Fostering the development of oncology nursing

Abstract

I had the opportunity recently to collaborate with oncology nursing colleagues from around the world in writing a series of articles about the current status of cancer nursing (Fitch & Young, 2023). The nursing leaders were from each of the seven regions of the World Health Organization: Region of the Americas (North America and South America), European, Eastern Mediterranean, Africa, South East Asia, and Western Pacific. We also had colleagues writing about policy, advocacy, education, leadership, and research.
