L’accompagnement infirmier personnalisé aux besoins des jeunes hommes atteints d’un cancer
Abstract
Le but de cette étude est de décrire et comprendre un accompagnement infirmier personnalisé aux besoins des jeunes hommes atteints d’un cancer (18–39 ans). Huit jeunes hommes atteints d’un cancer (n = 8, âge moyen = 28 ans) ont pris part à des entrevues individuelles. Deux thèmes se sont dégagés des entrevues : 1) l’importance de l’établissement d’une relation de confiance entre l’infirmière et le jeune homme atteint d’un cancer; et 2) des besoins non répondus demeurent à être comblés par l’accompagnement infirmier. Les résultats de l’analyse qualitative itérative des données indiquent qu’un accompagnement infirmier personnalisé aux besoins de cette clientèle devrait inclure plusieurs aspects, dont l’expression des sentiments, le désir de se sentir dans l’action et le soutien psychologique.
