Abstract


Les infirmières en oncologie ambulatoire éprouvent de la difficulté à faire face aux exigences toujours plus grandes auxquelles elles sont confrontées. Le volume croissant de patients, la plus grande complexité des traitements et de la gestion des symptômes, la population vieillissante présentant de multiples comorbidités, de concert avec des contraintes sur le plan des ressources humaines et financières ont débouché sur l’insatisfaction au travail et sur un sentiment d’impuissance dans l’environnement actuel. La démarche de l’interrogation appréciative permet aux infirmières de s’impliquer dans la planification et de créer des changements positifs en misant sur leurs connaissances, leurs expériences et leur expertise clinique en tant que professionnels de l’oncologie. Grâce à des enquêtes et des travaux en équipes, les infirmières ayant participé à ce projet ont pu transformer la théorie en changements positifs à la pratique et élaborer un nouveau paradigme des soins infirmiers intégraux en oncologie. En promouvant ainsi l’innovation, nous avons suscité l’espoir tout en défendant la cause de notre profession.
