Les programmes de formation en gestion à distance des symptômes s’adressant aux infirmières en oncologie du Canada : une analyse environnementale
Abstract
L’objectif global de cette étude était d’explorer les programmes de formation actuels en gestion à distance des symptômes offerts aux infirmières des programmes d’oncologie ambulatoire canadiens, en réalisant une analyse environnementale au moyen d’enquêtes par sondage. Sur les 36 invitations envoyées, 28 programmes, répartis dans 10 provinces, ont répondu (77,8 %). Sur les 25 programmes offrant la gestion des symptômes par téléphone, 17 fournissent de la formation en gestion des symptômes, 7 ne le font pas, et 1 n’a pas précisé. Sept programmes ont partagé du matériel de formation avec l’équipe de recherche; les éléments de formation incluaient les suivants : lignes directrices pour la gestion des symptômes (n=6), processus/principes de télétriage (n=5), pratiques téléphoniques compétentes (n=4), documentation des soins (n=4), normes professionnelles (n=3), jeux de rôles (n=3), aptitude à communiquer/étiquette au téléphone (n=3), et enfin, contrôle de la qualité (n=1). Les formats comprenaient les suivants : présentations (n=3), ressources sur support papier (n=3) ou modules d’apprentissage en ligne (n=1). Aucun programme de formation ne faisait l’objet d’une évaluation rigoureuse. La formation en télépratique infirmière de gestion des symptômes varie grandement d’un programme d’oncologie à l’autre. Il est possible de dégager les compétences essentielles et d’évaluer si les programmes de formation rehaussent les pratiques de gestion à distance des symptômes du cancer.
