Cervical intraepithelial neoplasia: Clinical update and implications for nursing practice

Abstract

This paper provides an overview of the education and support needs of women with abnormal Pap smears. Cervical intraepithelial neoplasia (CIN), rish factors for the development of cervical cancer, diagnosis by colposcopy, and treatment approaches will be presented. This background information lays a foundation for enhancing the quality of nursing care for these women.
