Abstract

Passing the baton 

I can still remember leaving Winnipeg after our annual conference in October 2019, feeling excited for the year ahead. When I returned home from Winnipeg, I remember my daughters being so excited about the ‘CANO’ socks I brought back for them and my daughter Ali congratulating me on becoming the president of Canada. I corrected her and reminded her that Canada has a prime minister, not a president, and asked her if she knew who our prime minister was. She said, “Of course I do Mom, it’s Justin Bieber.â€
